Hydro Flask is a drinkware and outdoor accessories brand that’s popular among millennials and members of Gen-Z. Their success around the world is partially attributed to its popularity among many social media stars, especially on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. The brand is successful, not only because of rising environmental and health concerns among young affluent consumers, but also because of the quality and appearance of its products. As outdoor lifestyle focused consumption is growing quickly in China, Hydro Flask worked with Creative Labs by WPIC to launch its product in the market and create localized campaigns and content that tap into today’s zeitgeist in China.

In the spring and summer of 2022, ultimate frisbee became one of the most popular sport activities among Chinese urban communities. The sport quickly became a hot topic on Chinese social media such as Little Red Book and Douyin and young adults joined leagues and clubs across all major cities in China. WPIC helped Hydro Flask capitalize on this excitement by becoming the official partner of one of the most influential frisbee communities in China. On behalf of Hydro Flask, Creative Labs organized some special events and contests for this community and helped connect the offline world with online reach through live-streaming activities.
